Who we are

Our Botenwirt. A place where hospitality is not just a word but a lived tradition. Since 1985, led with love, commitment, and heart, we warmly welcome you.

Honestly. Heartfelt. There.
At Botenwirt, we are hosts with heart: Erich personally cooks, Gitti embraces nature, Björn is everywhere working, Ina ensures a great atmosphere at the reception and Jens makes for beaming children and a smoothly running house. Together with Noah and Naomi, we make your holiday personal, honest, and genuinely heartfelt.

Your family Geihseder

Erich Geihseder, senior boss and host at the family hotel Botenwirt

Erich

Our senior boss
He is the head in the kitchen and the good soul behind many of our hearty delicacies. With passion and experience, he conjures up delicious and hearty dishes from regional ingredients.
And if you don't see him in the kitchen, you will meet him during Eis- oder Asphaltstockschießen, which he organizes once a week for you and with you. Often, he also casually sits in the restaurant afterwards, drinks a beer with the guests, and enjoys the personal exchange.
Gitti Geihseder, senior manager at the family hotel Botenwirt

Gitti

Our senior manager
With her warm-hearted nature and her love for nature and the mountains, Gitti is an integral part of the Botenwirt. She accompanies you on herb and experience hikes, tends to her herb garden with great dedication, and is often found in the restaurant or occasionally still in service.

She especially holds dear her smallest grandchildren, who love to visit us and enjoy joyful play moments in the children's playroom or in the garden.
Björn Geihseder, managing director of the family hotel Botenwirt

Björn

Our managing director and chef with heart
He is simply everywhere:
Whether in the kitchen or in service, at the reception or as a caretaker – he pitches in wherever a helping hand is needed. With his open nature and humor, he ensures that everyone feels welcome right away.
In winter, he brings a lively atmosphere to the legendary après-ski party – and that's what makes him who he is: engaged, warm-hearted, and always there for our guests, happily even for a nightcap at the bar.
Ina, Head of Reception at the Family Hotel Botenwirt

Ina

Our "Good Vibes" Chief
Ina has everything under control at the reception: whether it's reservations, inquiries, or the smooth operation in front of and behind the scenes. She always greets you with a smile and makes sure that you feel comfortable from the very first moment. You can also find her occasionally in service, and soon she will bring even more relaxation to the Botenwirt with her yoga classes. Always cheerful and full of energy for you, our guests.
Helping hand Jens

Jens

Adventureland expert and helping hand
Jens is the good soul in Adventureland and ensures that your children are happy while playing, romping, and discovering. At the same time, he gets involved as a jack-of-all-trades wherever support is needed, from small repairs to larger projects in the hotel. Always helpful and with an open ear for children and parents.
Naomi and Noah, children of the host family Botenwirt

Noah and Naomi

Active support and Botenwirt children
Noah and Naomi have grown up with the Botenwirt and carry the heart of the house within them. Whenever they are needed, they actively assist at the reception or in the service. And when they are not working, they always love to drop by for a lunch or coffee.

The History
of the House

For four decades, Botenwirt has been growing and developing with a lot of heart, diligence, and genuine family ties. What started as a small inn has gradually turned into the family-run wellness hotel that you know today. A house that has grown with each generation, each renovation, and each idea – and is still upheld by true hospitality.
  • 1985
The Botenwirt was auctioned by Gitti and Erich. At that time, the building had burnt down to the first floor.
  • 1986
The first floor was renovated, creating a 30m² apartment and 3 guest rooms.
  • 90s
The fire ruin was demolished and rebuilt, adding a larger apartment and 1 guest room.
  • 2003
Extension of the back half of the house with 15 new rooms, a sauna area, and a private apartment.
  • 2010
Expansion of the family rooms to the front (second bedroom).
  • 2010
25 years Botenwirt celebrated with a big 25-year anniversary event.
  • 2012
The Botenwirt was taken over by Björn.
  • 2017
New construction of the reception and two additional family rooms. A lift was installed and Ina joined the hotel.
  • 2018
The natural swimming pond was built.
  • 2019
New construction of the apartment building with two apartments, a private apartment, and staff room.
  • 2020
The buffet area in the restaurant was redesigned.
  • 2022
The sauna area was renovated and received an additional sauna and floating loungers.
  • Summer 2025
40 years anniversary was celebrated with two anniversary weeks in March and June.
There was a fresh up in the restaurant with new tables and chairs.
  • Winter 2025/2026
In winter, 15 rooms were completely renovated, and the older bathrooms of the family rooms were adapted. Furthermore, Erich and his kitchen team received an entirely new kitchen.
