During the summer months at the family hotel Botenwirt, your children can expect lots of fun, play, and adventure in our supervised adventure land. From Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, children ages 3 to 14 are cared for free of charge – ideal for families who want to enjoy relaxing holiday days.

All our rooms and apartments are equipped with allergy-friendly pillows and blankets. We have a few rooms with vinyl flooring; the majority of the rooms have new, allergy-friendly carpeting. Information on food allergies can be found under the section "Ernährungsbedürfnisse und Unverträglichkeiten".

Your rooms and apartments will be ready for you from 3:00 PM. On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate by 11:00 AM.

We are happy to provide you with a baby bed on-site. Alternatively, we also offer a fall protection system so that your little ones feel completely safe.

You can reach the Kleinarl valley station:

• on foot/via the beginners' lift after 200 m
• by ski bus in 3 minutes
• stop directly in front of the hotel

Bathrobes for the sauna are available in sufficient quantities and different sizes in the sauna area. You are welcome to use one free of charge for the duration of your stay.

In our rooms, you will of course find large towels for daily use. However, for the swimming pond, outdoor pools, or trips to the water, we kindly ask you to bring your own bath towels.

We have bicycles for both adults and children available for free rental. Helmets are also available. Two bicycles additionally have a device for a child seat.

The next stop for connections towards the ski lift/local center Kleinarl/Jägersee as well as in the opposite direction Wagrain/St. Johann is located directly in front of the door or on the opposite side of the street.

Our General Terms and Conditions for the Hospitality Industry AGBH 2006 apply as follows:

• You can cancel free of charge up to 3 months before arrival.
• From 3 months to 1 month before arrival, we charge 40% of the travel price.
• From 1 month to 1 week before arrival, the cancellation fee is 70% of the travel price.
• For cancellations within the last week before arrival, we will charge 90% of the travel price; for early departure, 100%.

With the Guest Mobility Ticket, you can use all public transport in the state of Salzburg for free during your entire stay – including arrival and departure. Many guests leave their car parked for the whole week and enjoy a relaxed, sustainable holiday.

Your four-legged family member is warmly welcome here. We charge 15.00 € per night for this. We assume that your dog is well-behaved and stays in the room during mealtimes, as they are not allowed in the restaurant. The wellness area and the swimming pond with sunbathing lawn are reserved for two-legged guests. In summer, your dog is welcome to be leashed on the terrace to be with you. We assume that 'Bello' does not roam freely in the hotel or sniff around and adheres to the rules of considerate coexistence.

You will find rental stations directly at the valley station at various sports shops. We have a brochure with prices for you at the reception.

During your stay, you can charge your electric car at our E-Tankstelle with self-produced power from our photovoltaic system. The billing is based on consumption and will be simply charged to your room bill. (0.40 cents per kWh)

The Botenwirt is a warmly run family hotel with an ideal location: short paths to the valley station, ski descent right to the house, adventure land in summer, safe hiking trails, and many offers specifically for families with children.

With the guest card (Salzburger Sportwelt Card), you receive discounted prices for activities in Kleinarl and the surrounding area, as well as free entry to the Wasserwelt Wagrain (open all day in summer, for 3 hours daily in winter) and free mountain and valley rides with the Champion Shuttle Kleinarl in summer (number depends on the duration of your stay).

With the Guest Mobility Ticket, you can use all public transportation throughout the entire country of Salzburg free of charge (including arrival and departure). This includes all city traffic, regional bus services, all S-trains, regional trains, long-distance trains, and the Salzburg Verkehr shuttles in the federal state. By completing the online check-in, you can easily receive the tickets on your smartphone on the day of your arrival.

Directly at the doorstep, numerous hiking trails and bike routes for every level begin. Whether it's a cozy family round, a scenic mountain hike, or a varied tour with the mountain bike – in Kleinarl you will find ideal conditions for active holiday days in the mountains. With the Gästekarte you can also take advantage of many offers and mountain lifts at discounted rates or for free.

For hikes around Kleinarl, we also provide our guests with children's carriers for rent, subject to availability. This way, you can explore the mountain world together and in a relaxed manner.

Our Wi-Fi is available to you throughout the house free of charge without a password.

You can drop off your luggage for free at any time with us – before check-in and after check-out.

Please let us know before your arrival if you have special dietary requirements, need to maintain a diet, or suffer from allergies or intolerances. This way, our kitchen team can prepare in the best possible way and take your wishes into account.

For common intolerances – such as celiac disease or lactose intolerance – we naturally always have gluten-free bread and rolls as well as lactose-free milk alternatives like oat milk available.

However, we would like to be open and honest in stating that we are not a certified allergy-friendly kitchen. In a large kitchen like ours, cross-contaminations, especially in the buffet area, can never be completely ruled out.

Due to the combination of overnight stay, meals, and ski pass in our packages, we are subject to the Package Travel Act. All information about this can be found here in the link.

The parking lot in front of our house is available to you free of charge. Here you will also find our E-charging station, where you can gladly charge your car.

We are happy to order your breakfast rolls for you and deliver them directly to your apartment door. Upon your arrival, you will receive a list to choose from, so you can start your vacation day fresh in the morning.

Our two saunas, the infrared cabin, and the relaxation room with floating loungers and adjacent rooftop terrace are located on the 3rd floor of the house. The sauna is open daily in winter from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM (except Saturdays). If you would like to use the sauna earlier, please let us know. In summer, we gladly turn on the sauna for you upon request for sustainability reasons.

We have a ski room with a heated shoe dryer. You can also dry your wet hiking shoes here in the summer.

The free ski bus stops directly in front of the hotel and takes you to the valley station in just 3 minutes.

In the Winter, you can go directly to the hotel – ideal for families with children.

The Botenwirt is located in the middle of the ski area of the Skischaukel Kleinarl–Flachauwinkl–Zauchensee. You can reach the Champion Shuttle and thus the entire ski area Ski amadé via the beginner lift (200 m away).

Multi-day ski passes can be issued to you at the reception. If they are not included in your booked package, the price will be charged to your room account.

For your well-being, our entire hotel is a non-smoking area – all rooms are non-smoking rooms as well. However, smokers do not have to freeze outside: There is a designated smoking area with heaters at the hotel entrance. Smoking is also naturally allowed on the balconies and the terrace.

You can find a small supermarket in the village center of Kleinarl, and there are two more supermarkets in Wagrain.

You can make your vacation particularly sustainable with simple measures while helping us protect the environment. Every small decision contributes to preserving our nature and supporting our sustainable actions:

• bring your own towels
• cleaning of the room only when needed
• use towels multiple times
• enjoy fresh spring water from the tap
• use public transportation (thanks to Guest Mobility Ticket)

The swimming pond with sunbathing lawn and sun umbrellas is located behind the house. This area is reserved for the bipeds. Please note that there is no swimming supervision, and use is at your own risk. The maximum depth of the pond is 2.70m. There is a part where children can stand, but this is not separately separated from the deep part.

We would like to spare you unnecessary costs and the associated hassle in the case of a cancellation. Therefore, we recommend that you consider insurance through the Europäische Reiseversicherung with either the Hotelstorno Plus or the comprehensive Hotelstorno Premium insurance as a precaution for cancellations or early departures. Here you can insure yourself directly.

In the apartment building, a washing machine and a dryer are available for you. You can use both, including detergent, free of charge at any time.
